2 Cor 5:17
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
As a new born babe you need to grow. One of my spiritual mentors Papa Hagin, has taught widely on training your spirit and inevitably have learnt a lot from Dr Goodwill Shana on the same subject. We need to train our spirit as the primary way we are led off course after God’s word is the inward witness or the communication we get from our spirit man. How are we sure that we are born again? The Spirit of the Lord testifies with our spirit
Rom 8:16
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Prov 20:27 The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.
Ps 16:7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
This means you need to train your spirit to be able to receive communication from the Holy Spirit. The Lord will enlighten your spirit (the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord). You remember the scripture that says He will light my lamp and He will enlighten my darkness
Ps 18:28 For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
Unless you train your spirit to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying you will remain unskilled in the word of righteousness. The same way growth is expected in a new born babe, we aught to grow our ability to hear from the Spirit of the Lord thereby train our spirit man. The more I look into this matter the more there is to say and learn from.
Skilled by the WORD OF GOD
The number one way to skill our spirit man is the Word of God
Ps 119:105Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Heb 4:12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
• The Word is the light to my path
• The Word divides asunder the soul and spirit
This means our spirit man is enlightened by the Word. I marvel at times when I need to resolve something the Word comes up from my spirit. We are more than conquerors - I remember when I was praying concerning my wife to be at the time we were not talking at all, the best I ever had as a communication was ‘Hi sister Joyce, we enjoy your worship ministry’ but I liked her deeply. I went to the Lord to ask whether she was the one to be Mrs. Nyamayaro. As I sought the guidance and direction of the Lord, my lamp was lightened my spirit brought up Phil 4:13. The lord said the desires you have are godly by beaming up that scripture in my spirit. You see the Word does not only give light, it also separates the spirit from the soul. You never ask the dumb question, ‘Is it me of is it God?’ Have you ever been in a crisis and when you pay attention to your spirit you discover there is a scriptural song – songs like, ‘Have you heard what the Lord has done, He has destroyed the yoke of Satan or Oh Lord you are awesome or Victory is mine today’ I have noticed in my walk with the Lord that this is always the case the Lord lightens my lamp by His Word. At one time we went to pray for someone and the word in my spirit was ‘I have given you authority to tremble with snakes and scorpions’ at that time I knew we had to cast some devils and destroy the work of the enemy.
Skilled by Prayer in the spirit
1 Cor 14:14-15 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
You know why you are encouraged to pray in the spirit, so that you build up yourself in your most Holy faith (Jude 20). It’s like a spiritual gym; you are building up yourself, exercising, like lifting spiritual weights and thereby skilling your spirit man. It’s interesting how when you crystallize this study you get more and more revelation, I love my God. Prayer in the spirit exercises your spirit man to use Jude’s words, it builds us up!
Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Another part of prayer I have enjoyed in my life, is when the spirit man is aided in prayer in a higher measure by the Holy Spirit. I mean Holy Spirit filled prayer. According to Romans the two limitations of not knowing what to pray for and how we aught to pray is eliminated by the presence and assistance of the Holy Spirit in prayer. Take note of the difference between Spirit filled prayer and when one’s spirit prays. Have you ever been praying in tongues your usual tongues (your spirit praying) and suddenly your tongues change its like there is an inspiration and usually for me great boldness or a vivid sense of emotion, I will explain. (Holy Spirit Prayer). When you pray for Dinner, Is that Holy Spirit Filled? There is an energy, an expression of emotion, an inspiration when we pray in the Holy Spirit. I remember that whenever I would pray for my young brother (My young brother is in Australia on studies currently), there would be weeping and that sense of intercession that requires repentance. It occurred more than five times if I remember well, It would be like groaning like the need to express something but with great remorse and need for God. I did not know at all what he was going through but I trusted the Lord to intervene in his situation. At times I would end up laughing or rejoicing after prayer so I knew the Lord was on our side. Later, reports started coming in that my brother was not living right. I knew we had delt with it so there was no need for me to be moved. Later, Allen, my young brother became so hungry for God that my wife and I will just look at the messages and laugh and say HEY THANK GOD for the Holy Ghost.
Sometimes the inspiration comes to one as prophecy. For me during prayer, it’s like there is a knowing what was being prayed for or what is being prayed for. It’s like a declaration, sometime last year in March, I saw my pastor and one of our deacon’s having a discussion about me. I did not hear what they were saying but I knew what it was about. I began to speak concerning the instruction I had known they were going to give me, I heard myself say that assignment is mine and I will do my best in it because I am wired for it. Later that week on Friday the pastor called me and gave me that assignment. Looks like we diverting from our topic but hey that’s how we skill the spirit man IN PRAYER and SPIRIT FILLED PRAYER
Skilled by exercise
Heb 5:14 But strong meat belonged to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
By reason of use – the more you practice the better you become.
1 Tim 4:7-8But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.
We aught to train our spirit man. The more we are conscious of our spirit man and exercise to hear what he is saying the more victorious we can ever become. Sometimes we do not pay attention to our spirit and inevitably are led by our senses. I think we will conclude this topic on training the soul and the body.

TRAIN UP A CHILD
TRAIN A CHILD
Prov 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
I have learnt this scripture as a young boy in my early days in the Lord, and I have indeed benefited from this wisdom. We have had issues of habits and addictions sadly these have become so negative in this era and so rampant in these days. In our day we were taught that if we train ourselves in righteousness and holiness even when we leave school we would be able to STAND. I thank God that I never went through certain stuff as a teenager like alcohol, drugs, clubbing and sex I was not wired for such in my childhood. Even now I never struggle with the same things.
From an early age, I was taught the Word of God. (2 Tim 3:15). The word of the Lord has never departed from my mouth even in a lukewarm state of my life never have I forgotten the Lord and His precepts. At an early age I began to substitute movie, comedies etc by feeding on the Word of God. I remember I had joined a video club where I would get messages from Tim Storey, TD Jakes, Benny Hinn, Morris Cerullo, Ayo Aristajafor and others and at that age would feed on these servants of God. I look now and marvel and how I remember the message and how I know the Word and how my spirit reminds me of the word I learnt that way back. I agree with Proverbs that if we train a child in the way he should go he will not depart from it. The opposite is true – those that learnt alcohol, drugs, clubbing and sex at an early age continued in that pathway and never departed save those that encountered the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
o
Train - coach, instruct, tutor, school, a particular skill or type of behavior through regular practice and instruction. The idea of training also is to create a disposition (a person’s inherent qualities of mind and character – an inclination or tendency)
Based on your training we are able to derive your response to given scenarios. A good friend of mine a deacon in our church once said that similar words spoken to two individuals often yield two separate results. This is true indeed, because the way the words are perceived is different in the two individuals. If I say to you, ‘you are blessed indeed’ depending on who you are your response could be. AMEN! Or Is that so? Or I wish I could believe that etc. based on the training you received you accordingly respond. Lawyers tend to legalize all issues, managers want to manage you, accountants want you to account even for where you went for your honey moon and thank God for administrators for everything to them is in systems not teasing but teachers always want to teach you even if you are better skilled in the area. A good example is the fivefold ministry where the Apostle has a message, the prophet has the will of God, the evangelist thinks of souls only, the pastor loves everyone and the teacher pays attention to the little and this is because of their orientation as well. My Senior Pastors are very prophetic and the same thread is evident in all of us their sons because we have been trained that way.
Heb 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
The author (believed to be Paul) of Hebrews was complaining about the lack of growth and maturity of this church. He says by now they should have been teachers and yet they still need to be taught (trained)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me
An aggressive Spirit,
A victorious Spirit, a Warrior
An heart to conquer,
A zeal to excel,
Inspired to surpass,
God’s life, His energy to win
Search and destroy, I heard
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me
Bring it on, let’s deal with it
We triumph, we conquer
We prevail
The sons of God are here,
Vana vaMwari vauya,
Vana vaMwari vasvika,
An excellent Spirit, such was in Daniel
It can be done, let do it
Greatness is upon us,
The Spirit of MIGHT
The Spirit of Counsel, to speak the mind of God,
You remember Samson?
You remember Joseph/Daniel?
To establish my Father’s Kingdom
To destroy the works of the enemy
An aggressive Spirit
To Spirit that was upon Jehu,
The same upon David’s warriors
To terrorize, to destroy.
Yet a humble heart
Yes, a tender, sensitive heart
Contrite, God fearing, submitted to the Lord
A humble heart, a heart of flesh
A heart that trembles at God’s Word
A heart that fears, God Almighty
In Him I boast and yet in Him I am tender and gentle
Inspire us, let the God life and Spirit be in us and upon us
Envelop us; embrace us with your grace
A unique Spirit
So powerful and yet so gentle, tender and humble
An excellent Spirit has come upon me
An excellent Spirit, such as spoken of Daniel
To interpret dreams, to solve hard sentences,
To clarify riddles and of witty inventions
Of knowledge and understanding
There is a man in this Kingdom,
In whom the Spirit of the Lord dwells
Wisdom to govern, master and ruler
Unto who grace and peace is multiplied

BOOK REVIEW WEEK 1-2
WEEK ONE Book Review 1: Love the way to Victory
Written by Kenneth E. Hagin
Wow this book is life changing indeed. Papa Hagin talks Christianity in a God way indeed, man I am so refreshed, challenged and rebuked even. Love the law of the New Testament. He does not just talk about it; he demonstrates how to live it. I make a commitment to walk in love live in love and be in love always. Papa Hagin addresses issues to do with
1. The love of God is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit and love a fruit of the spirit
2. By walking in love you fulfill the law
3. Be quick to forgive
4. Make walking in love your great quest
5. Discern the body – failure to walk in love breeds sickness and weakness
6. Judge yourself lest you be judged
7. Love your enemies, pray for them
This is a grand book a must read for all believers. The examples are awesome you see yourself in there. Walk in love my boy.
My Rating 10/10. This is a spiritual classic!
WEEK TWO Book Review 2: The Richest man in Babylon
Written by George S. Clarson
Thanks to Kezito Makuni. Apparently when Kezito gave me the book, Gerald came and offered me the same book. I knew then the Lord had ordered the same book for me. I love you Lord, how you order my steps is amazing.
Talk about God’s timing the book touches issues that my wife and I have been discussing concerning issues with a lot of insights.
• We are to keep a part of our income
• Be disciplined on our expenses (control and manage expenses)
• Grow / multiply the part I keep
• Be prudent and evade loss on investment
• Own my own home
• Provide for needs of my growing age and family protection
• Cultivate ME, study be wiser, become more skillful thereby build capacity to earn more
The book deals with issues of luck – which is making use of opportunity and tales on how one comes out of debt pro-rata based calculations and strange appetites that weakens one’s purse also in the book is the importance of long term investments. Finally the glory of Babylon as a recap.
A good book to all those who are starting out in life, dealing with debt and laziness, the book acts well as a guide to long term investment. I agree my steps are ordered, came at the right time as we had started it also sounds like the King James Version I mean the language.
My Rating 8/10.

WHO HAVE YOU BEEN WITH (Direct Extract - notes 2006 )
Who Have You Been With?
One Sunday morning we were praying and the Lord asked me this question
“Admire, who have you been with?”
I said I have been with Jesus, my Lord. This came out of my spirit because you see I had committed myself to prayer and was walking and working with Him so the Lord said once more
“Do not be anxious then neither wonder what will happen because you have been with Jesus”
Look at these scriptures I later came across by the leading of the Holy Ghost
John 14:9 Jesus *said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
Acts 4:13 Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus.
Matthew 26:73 After a little while, the bystanders came up and said to Peter, You certainly are one of them too, for even your accent betrays you.
Matthew 26:73 A little later the bystanders came up and said to Peter, "Surely you too are one of them; for even the way you talk gives you away."
Luk 9:41 And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long, shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither

TRANSFORMED BY THE WORD PT 2
Week One
The last time we learnt about transformation where we discovered that the word means growing up to maturity and a change in nature / form. We went through the importance of the Word in renewing our mind thereby grow to maturity – as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word that we may grow thereby 1 Pet 2:2.
By the Word
2 Cor 3:18
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
What is the glass/mirror? Looking at verse 14, the veil was on the law and the Old Testament. Paul says that they were blinded and to this day the same veil is untaken in the reading of the OLD TESTAMENT. The veil is taken away in Christ, Praise the Lord. Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith – Hebrews 12:2
I love the Word, we all with open face; revelation, illumination, insight into truth. It is given unto us to understand the things of the Kingdom; Jesus said when His disciples had asked why He speaks in parables. (Matt 13:10-11). To understand more this part the next chapter continues by saying that if the gospel be hid it is hid to the lost and that have been BLINDED by the god of this world. We are not blind we are in the revelation and in the light. As discussed the glass is the mirror which is the Word, Gospel or the Truth. The more we look into the mirror/the Word, we are being changed (metamorphosed/transformed) into the same image from glory to glory. We move from one level of victory to another, one level of joy to another, one level of strength to another, one level of grace to another. I have noticed this in my life that the more I stayed in the Lord the more gloriously my life became. The default rate continues to diminish day by day, the decay or level of entropy in my life continued to reduce. I get better and better each day, more and more effective and become more and more like Jesus.
By the Spirit
Even as by the Spirit of the Lord – He is the teacher remember, He brings the reality of Christ into us. The Spirit of the Lord carries the DNA of our Lord and He is able to translate us to the same image from Glory to Glory. He is the One that broods over us. I remember that in my far away state from the Lord the Spirit of the Lord would just brood over me and He would just like set fire in me. The inspiration of the Spirit revives us so much that it becomes easy to contact God. He communicates with our spirit man.
The nature of God is imparted into us by the Spirit, I have learnt over the years that the LOVE of God has been shared abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us (Rom 5:5). God is love.
1 Cor 2:12
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
His Spirit makes us KNOW. He reveals it, brings the reality of it and makes us acquainted with this new life in Christ. Now we have received, yes we have Him not tomorrow not another day but we have Him now. He is in us right now, He lives in me, He guides me, He enlightens me not a day away, not next month but right now. First John says that we have an unction from the Holy One and we know all things (1 John 2:20) better still verse 27. Jesus, my Lord says that we have a comforter/counselor who teaches us all things. I think of Him (the Holy Spirit) as a helper - Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby). I will maintain our theme as the study of the Comforter can lead us another direction I must say. He the Spirit of truth will guide me into all truth. Just on the side you remember Admire that Paul in Romans says that we know not how to pray.
Rom 8:26
So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
In the Presence of the Lord
Some time ago, I remember this Word in my heart – who have you been with? The Lord asked me this question at one prayer meeting. As I went to look it up in the scriptures how this Word would so much transform me. This was because I had spent a lot of time in prayer and before the Lord. – who have you been with? The Lord asked me this question at one prayer meeting. As I went to look it up in the scriptures how this Word would so much transform me. This was because I had spent a lot of time in prayer and before the Lord.
Matt 17:17
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
Also Mark 9:19 and Luke 9:41
You remember Moses that when he would come from the presence of the Lord
Ex 34:29
29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
He was coming from the presence of the Lord you remember that this is when he had to put a veil on his face. The more time you spend in the Presence of the Lord the more you become like Him. I never understood how Elisha could do what Elijah did and look at Joshua and Moses as well. When I have opportunity I drive around my spiritual dad, Dr Goodwill Shana, the more I did that the more I noticed his personality in me and the more I use his phrases, his jokes and even laugh hey. It is so with God, the more we spend time with Him, the more you laugh like Him, talk like Him, love like Him, be in glory like Him, have His personality more and more.
This is why Jesus asked His disciples, how long shall I be with you?
