The Spirit of the Lord is upon me

An aggressive Spirit,
A victorious Spirit, a Warrior
An heart to conquer,
A zeal to excel,
Inspired to surpass,
God’s life, His energy to win
Search and destroy, I heard

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me

We prevail
The sons of God are here,

An excellent Spirit, such was in Daniel
It can be done, let do it

The Spirit of MIGHT
The Spirit of Counsel, to speak the mind of God,

You remember Samson?
You remember Joseph/Daniel?


To establish my Father’s Kingdom
To destroy the works of the enemy
An aggressive Spirit
To Spirit that was upon Jehu,
The same upon David’s warriors
To terrorize, to destroy.

Yet a humble heart
Yes, a tender, sensitive heart
Contrite, God fearing, submitted to the Lord
A humble heart, a heart of flesh
A heart that trembles at God’s Word
A heart that fears, God Almighty
In Him I boast and yet in Him I am tender and gentle

Inspire us, let the God life and Spirit be in us and upon us
Envelop us; embrace us with your grace
A unique Spirit
So powerful and yet so gentle, tender and humble

An excellent Spirit has come upon me
An excellent Spirit, such as spoken of Daniel
To interpret dreams, to solve hard sentences,
To clarify riddles and of witty inventions
Of knowledge and understanding

There is a man in this Kingdom,
In whom the Spirit of the Lord dwells
Wisdom to govern, master and ruler
Unto who grace and peace is multiplied
